Leigh is a trailblazer in Mozambique's tourism and hospitality industry, with nearly 20 years of experience living and working in the country. As the former manager of Farol da Barra Lodge, where she led operations for 12 years, and the owner of Chilll Restaurant, Leigh has played a key role in shaping Barra into a sought-after destination for travelers.

Her extensive involvement in the tourism sector includes over a decade on the board of AHTPI (The Tourism Association of Inhambane Province), where she currently serves as Vice President, championing sustainable tourism and regional development. Leigh is also a member of Skal, a global network of tourism professionals dedicated to promoting collaboration and ethical practices in the industry.

Leigh's commitment extends beyond hospitality. She is a founding member of the Mozambique Sea Rescue Association and Barra Waste Solutions, initiatives aimed at improving safety, environmental sustainability, and the well-being of local communities.

As the founder of Mozshoreline, Leigh combines her deep local knowledge, government and tourism association connections, and hands-on experience to connect travelers with authentic Mozambican adventures. Her passion for tourism, conservation, and community development has made her an influential leader and advocate for Mozambique's vibrant tourism landscape.

Joanne is a dedicated tourism professional and conservation advocate in Mozambique's dynamic travel and hospitality industry. Having lived in Barra for seven years, she has become deeply connected to the local community and its vibrant tourism scene.

Joanne's career includes working at various lodges and managing activity hubs, where she honed her skills in delivering exceptional guest experiences and promoting sustainable tourism. As a certified dive instructor, she has also introduced countless visitors to Mozambique's breathtaking underwater world, fostering a deeper appreciation for its marine ecosystems.

In addition to her hands-on work in tourism, Joanne has collaborated with various NGOs on projects that blend community development with conservation education. She is a founding member of Barra Waste Solutions, an initiative dedicated to maintaining the beauty of Barra through effective waste management, and a founding member of Inhaca Ocean Alliance, where she works to empower local communities with swimming and water safety skills while promoting environmental stewardship.
